Drafting, filing and prosecuting trade mark applications through the UK and Madrid Protocol systems, and in jurisdictions throughout the world (including the European Union) via long-established network of local attorneys;
Trade mark clearance searching and advising on potential conflicts of use and registration of new marks from risk mitigation and commercial standpoint, recommending future branding directions and strategies;
Carrying out IP audits;
Monitoring of worldwide registers for potentially conflicting marks, advising on third party conflict options (e.g. - oppositions, revocation and invalidity actions, infringement proceedings, passing off actions), perceived likelihood of success and commercial implications;
Representing parties before the UK IP Office, (e.g.- in opposition and cancellation proceedings), collation and submission of evidence of use and accompanying witness statements, preparing statutory declarations and skeleton arguments;
Drafting and advising on assignments, licences, undertakings and coexistence agreements;
Advising on and coordinating recordal on relevant international registers of change of owner details and transfer of ownership of IP assets;
Advising on domain names and related disputes;
Advising on company names and acting before the UK Company Names Tribunal;
Advising on and enforcing eBay’s VeRO IP rights owners programme and coordinating social media takedowns worldwide.
